ROWDY, STOMPING BLUEGRASS
Barnyard Tea brings you rowdy, stomping bluegrass. They combine style, class and a whiff of rock & roll in their approach of American traditionals. The three blond-haired men focus their arrangements around vocal harmony and the use of authentic instruments. They have been seen playing mandolins, banjos, dobros, guitars and of course a good old double bass.
The uplifting music will make you dance, or at least get the urge to dance, but their sensitive side occasionally takes the spotlight with enchanting harmony-infused ballads. So put on your dancing shoes and stomp along to the mesmerizing music of the blistering bluegrass trio.
Edin Najetovic, Frank de Boer and Joost Abbel have been making music together since high school. They started Barnyard Tea in 2012 out of a joint passion for roots and bluegrass music. Soon they were performing all across Europe, playing more than 250 shows in The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
In the summer of 2012 they released their first EP. In 2014 their second release, ‘Bluegrass Christmas’ saw the light during an extended Christmas tour where they performed at the world famous Christmas fair at Cologne Cathedral. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
Everybody loves Christmas! And so does Barnyard Tea. In the winter of 2012 they started out performing Yuletide songs with a bluegrass twist at Christmas fairs all over the country, including De Keukenhof and Dordrecht. In 2013 Germany – home of the world's finest Christmas fairs – wanted a piece of the action. So Barnyard Tea headed to Cologne to perform two shows in front of the world famous Kölner Dom.
The following years also saw a lot of Christmas fun. The band has recorded a selection of songs for their second album 'Bluegrass Christmas'. Following the release they toured through the Netherlands and Germany. The 2017 holiday season is one of their biggest tour yet with sixteen shows. Can't wait until Christmas? Check out our video for Santa Claus is Coming To Town.
